After the teaser trailer for The Last Witch Hunter intrigued us all a few weeks ago, we now have the first full trailer, showing more of the fantasy world that Vin Diesel is a part of.
The film, directed by Breck Eisner, sees Diesel play the role of Kaulder, who, once a member of an army of witch hunters, is now the only one of his kind after being cursed with immortality by the Queen Witch.
It’s hard to tell how CGI-heavy fantasy films such as this one will play out; many have such a limited release that we don’t get to see them even if we wanted to, but most don’t have enough decent promotion to pull in any audience anticipation at all.
But from the looks of the new trailer, The Last Witch Hunter looks like one to keep an eye on. The effects looks pretty decent, and the cast appear very fitting in their roles. Game of Thrones‘ Rose Leslie is tempting enough, but you can’t help but love a bit of Vin Diesel, either, so it might be worth a second thought if you’ve had any doubts beforehand.
The Last Witch Hunter is set to be released on 23rd October, and also stars Elijah Wood, Michael Caine, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson and Julie Engelbrecht.

The modern world holds many secrets, but the most astounding secret of all is that witches still live amongst us; vicious supernatural creatures intent on unleashing the Black Death upon the world. Armies of witch hunters battled the unnatural enemy across the globe for centuries, including KAULDER, a valiant warrior who managed to slay the all-powerful QUEEN WITCH, decimating her followers in the process. In the moments right before her death, the QUEEN curses KAULDER with her own immortality, forever separating him from his beloved wife and daughter in the afterlife. Today KAULDER is the only one of his kind remaining, and has spent centuries hunting down rogue witches, all the while yearning for his long-lost loved ones. However, unbeknownst to KAULDER, the QUEEN WITCH is resurrected and seeks revenge on her killer causing an epic battle that will determine the survival of the human race.
